To  increase the available supply of affordable housing, we must:

  • Prioritise opportunities within the Derbyshire Dales
  • Be able to access land and obtain planning permission for new developments
  • Expand the tenures that we provide
  • Retain access to Housing Corporation funding
  • Enter into partnerships with other housing providers
  • Maximise the funding available through our existing asset base


To be a champion for vibrant neighbourhoods and communities, we must:

  • Retain local control over local housing service delivery
  • Work in partnership with local communities and stakeholders, with particular emphasis on promoting social, financial and technological inclusion
  • Provide homes that enable people of all ages to remain in their local community


To practise business excellence and improve cost effectiveness in all we do, we must:

  • Expand our asset base through stock transfers, partnerships and development
  • Develop partnerships with other organisations for better service delivery
  • Continually review the procurement of goods and services
  • Benchmark performance against other organisations
