Promoting Partnerships
It is only by working together in partnership that many of our aims and objectives can be achieved. We work with many and varied partners to call on their expertise and complement the skills offered by Dales Housing. We especially aim to be a key player in community partnerships to ensure that the services we provide are appropriate and needed. We will build upon our excellent reputation. Our goal is for Dales Housing to be the Number One choice of our partners when housing services are to be provided.
Dales Housing is continuing to develop and strengthen successful partnerships with:
- Both national and local contractors and consultants
- Derbyshire Dales District Council, working to meet housing need and to provide new affordable housing throughout the district
- Nottingham Community Housing Association, as our development partner
- Derbyshire Constabulary, through Dales Housing's membership of the Crime Reduction Group
To date, we have worked with our customers and partners to provide:
- 1670 homes with window replacements and 1346 door replacements
- 1080 homes fully rewired
- 1000 central heating replacements / upgrades
- 978 homes with kitchen replacements
- 992 homes with bathroom replacements
- 159 homes with disabled adaptations
- 2425 homes fitted with hard-wired heat and smoke detectors
- 1639 homes with improved loft and cavity wall insulation
- A programme of structural repair and refurbishment to 329 non traditional homes, which commenced in September 2003 was completed in March 2007. A total of 321 properties have been refurbished
- Our first new development scheme at Tideswell, comprising 22 new homes - 8 for shared ownership and 14 for rent
