Repairs and Maintenance

Dales Housing is responsible for all repairs to the structure of your home and for all fixtures and fittings supplied by Dales Housing. Our customers are responsible for internal decorations and a few other minor repairs (please refer to the Tenant's Handbook for further details).

How to report a repair
You can report a repair by: 

  • Telephone on the free phone number 0800 2941335 
  • Talking to your Sheltered Housing Officer 
  • Pre paid Repair Reporting Cards available from Area Housing Offices 


When you report a repair, please be prepared to give us the following important information: 

  • Your name, address, postcode and telephone number  
  • Give us as much detail about the repair or defect as you can - tell us what happened and what problems are being caused  
  • Tell us the location of the repair at your home (inside or outside, which room, which part of the fixture etc.)  
  • The times when some one is usually at home to give our workmen access to carry out the repair 

Helping Dales Housing with as much detail as possible when you report a repair will help to ensure that you get your repairs done quickly and properly.
