If you were a tenant of Derbyshire Dales District Council, and you became a tenant of Dales Housing at stock transfer on 4th March 2002, you may be able to buy your home under the preserved right to buy scheme.
Certain houses and flats are excluded from the preserved right to buy. These are properties which are particularly suitable for occupation by elderly persons.
You may be entitled to a discount on the market value of your home which will depend on the length of your tenancy and the type of property you are applying to buy, up to a maximum of £24,000.
If you decide to sell your home within the discount repayment period you will have to repay some or all of the discount.
